This policy explains how we process personal data on www.accountingbratislava.com in line with the GDPR and applicable Slovak/EU law.

1) What data we process & why

A. Website analytics (marketing insights)

Data: device info, IP address (short-lived/hashed if configured), pages viewed, events.
Purpose: measure and improve site performance and marketing.
Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) via cookie banner for non-essential analytics.
Source: your device/browser via cookies or similar tech.

B. Newsletter

Data: email address (and optional preferences).
Purpose: send articles, updates, and topics that may interest potential clients.
Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw anytime via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.

C. Meeting reservations (Calendly)

Data: name, email, phone, booking details.
Purpose: schedule a meeting, send reminders, confirm attendance.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) to organize appointments efficiently and prevent no-shows, or pre-contract/contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) when the booking relates to our services.
Note: We use Calendly to provide the booking service. Calendly may show its own GDPR notice.

2) Cookies & tracking

We use essential cookies for site operation and, with your consent, analytics cookies for aggregated statistics. You can manage or withdraw consent at any time via our cookie banner/settings.

3) Data retention

Analytics data: per tool settings, kept no longer than necessary for aggregated reporting (e.g., [13–26 months], specify).
Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or we remove inactive contacts after [24 months].
Reservation data: for meeting administration and follow-up, kept [6–12 months] after the appointment unless a longer period is required by law or you become a client (then kept per statutory accounting periods).

4) Recipients & processors

We use trusted providers who process data on our instructions:

Calendly – meeting scheduling and reminders (reservations). Privacy: calendly.com/privacy
Email/newsletter provider – sending newsletters (e.g., MailerLite/Mailchimp) – add name + link.
Analytics provider – website statistics (e.g., Google Analytics/Matomo)
Hosting & IT support – secure hosting and maintenance – (Hostinger).

We sign data processing agreements with all processors.

5) International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the EEA (e.g., the United States). In such cases we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and additional safeguards as required by GDPR.

6) Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).

7) Security

We use SSL/TLS encryption, access controls, and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No internet transmission is 100% secure, but we continually improve our safeguards.

Our services and website are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Our site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies.
